Bigfoot is an instrumental soul band based in Austin, TX. While drawing on influences from the genre's pioneers, namely Booker T. and the MGs, Isaac Hayes and The Meters, Bigfoot creates original music built on universally soulful foundations.

The Bigfoot sound exists solely to make you dance or nod your head. The four members of Bigfoot, Jon Fichter (guitar), Max Werkenthin (keys), Gabe Yukon (drums) and Chris Hadley (bass) each incorporate a unique approach to improvisation and dynamics which keeps the music fresh and entertaining, while never abandoning the notion that soul music should be felt as well as heard.

In February 2011, Bigfoot recorded The Icebox EP in a warehouse on Austin's east side and are now focused on writing new music and playing live.
